Born in the USA, a Belzoni, MS

native, raised in Chicago, has always been in and around the music community, from background studio recordings to live background vocal performances. To the surprise of many LaJa’s indelible mark in and around the music scene has left old and new fans alike in awe. Early influences, Phyllis Hyman, & Sarah Vaughn set the stage for LaJa’ ultra unique sound.

Since 1995 LaJa has performed at every venue imaginable, beginning with Norwegian Cruise Lines then, ranging from Chicago’s House of Blues, Buddy Guy’s Legends, KoKo Taylors Night Club, Callahan’s-Michigan, OH-Beachland Ballroom, Naperville’s Last Fling,Fitzgerald’s, Vegas-Excaliber to Illinois south suburbs. Grapevine, Corporate events, as well as a multitude of festivals across the Midwest. Currently LaJa’ is performing weekly at CHICAGO's Odyssey East Night Club 9942 S. Torrence Ave.

LaJa’ long awaited debut CD, Unconditional Love,NATIONWIDE release is planned for NOVEMBER 6, 2015. LaJa’s Bluesy Neo-soul ballads, & zydeco party tunes are sure to tantalize the palate and awaken the inner you.

LaJa’s U.S. management team  (Taurus Talent Management - Booker T. Suggs) and Caribbean booking agent (Legends Entertainment) recently solidified an artist management deal to increase visibility.
